“The City of a Thousand Lindens”, Mariehamn’s second name, is the seed of thought that became TILIA.

“I have long wanted to design a piece of jewellery with a strong connection to Åland. The seeds that the linden releases in autumn look like a sail with a stalk of seeds. To me it is a little like the Åland islanders, who often dare to set sail and cast themselves off into the wind, many times with good results.”
