This is what Maria Karlström, head goldsmith at GULDVIVA says about Tilia - "I have long wanted to design a piece of jewelry with a strong connection to Åland. The seeds that the linden gives off in the fall look like a SEGEL (Sail) with a stalk of seeds. For me, it is a bit like the Ålanders who often dare to put SEGEL (Sail) and throw themselves into the wind, often with good results."

Tilia is the Latin name for lime tree.
