This is what Maria Karlström, head goldsmith at GULDVIVA, says about TILIA – “For a long time I have wanted to design a piece of jewellery with a strong connection to Åland. The seeds that the linden tree releases in autumn look like a sail with a stalk of seeds. To me it is a bit like the Ålanders, who often dare to set sail and throw themselves into the wind, many times with good results.”

Tilia is the Latin name for linden.

TILIA has a beautiful, patinated surface achieved through the antique treatment of the silver.

Where does my jewellery come from?

Åland – a tranquil island in the Baltic Sea, between Finland and Sweden. Here, in the beautiful Maritime Quarter in the heart of Mariehamn, you’ll find both our store and our workshop.

Guldviva was born in Åland in 1989 and has always kept its production here. For us, it has been important to have full control over the entire process, where jewellery making and sales go hand in hand. This way, we can ensure the highest quality and offer personal service.
