BETA necklace
- 925 sterling silver, nickel-free
- Diameter: approx 13 mm
- Standard chain: 42 cm Curb chain
- As all jewelry is handmade, sizes may vary slightly.
The inspiration for BETA necklace is taken from the shape of the key on an old-fashioned typewriter. The round shape and raised edge of the piece, combined with the antiquing of the silver, creates a beautiful depth.
Choose your letter from the alphabet or an unengraved piece of jewelry, as is, or with your own engraving.
Write which letter (no extra charge) or which custom engraving (add Engraving No. 1 or No. 2 to your cart) you want in the comments box at checkout.
PS. if you choose your own engraving, keep in mind that the jewelry itself is relatively small and therefore long names are very small and difficult to read. An abbreviation or initials are a better option.

Delivery times
We make all our jewellery ourselves in our workshop in Åland. Since we do everything ourselves, and have our residence on a small island with no fixed connection, it is difficult for us to keep as fast delivery times as larger brands may be able to offer. However, we ourselves think that our jewellery is worth waiting an extra day for, and if you buy a gift, our gift wrapping is always very careful and appreciated.
Our delivery times are as follows:
To Sweden 2-7 days (usually 2-3 days)
To Finland 2-7 days (usually 2-4 days)
Other EU 4-10 days (usually 5-7 days)
International 5-15 days (usually 7-10 days)
If you need a gift for a specific date, you can always contact us to verify that it will arrive.
Sustainable design
JEWELLERY FOR GENERATIONS
Sustainability and quality go hand in hand. Classic design, climate-smart materials and the possibility of repairing what breaks are important aspects to consider when you buy a product, such as a piece of jewellery from Guldviva. Here's what we do to make your jewellery last a really long time.
Quality
Each piece of Guldviva jewellery is made by hand in our own workshop in the Sjökvarteret on Åland. This guarantees high quality, professional and solid workmanship.
All jewellery is made of precious metal throughout, it is never filled with other materials or hollow. Associated chains that are not manufactured by us at Guldviva are also of the highest quality and in 925 Sterling Silver or 18K gold.
Warranty
Your Guldviva jewellery is designed and manufactured to last a long time and be passed on as a legacy to future generations. Therefore, we provide a warranty on all our jewellery and repair free of charge any damage that occurs due to any production defects. Damage caused by wear and tear or accidents will be repaired, but at normal labor costs.
Sustainable materials
We use only nickel-free 925 sterling silver or 18K gold as the base material. We strive for completely sustainable production and currently use 100 percent recycled metal.
Polishingand restoration
Silver and gold are materials that last forever, but the jewellery you wear often still gets traces of frequent use. Therefore, we offer free professional polishing of all Guldviva jewellery. For example, we can roll the jewellery in a drum with polishing beads, redo the surface finish by hand and, if necessary, redo antique treatments. Your jewellery will then be like new again.
Before handing in your jewellery, we ask you to first remove hair from chains and any deposits on earrings, for example. Brushing with a toothbrush, lukewarm water and ordinary soap is usually sufficient.
Care instructions
To take care of your jewellery yourself, make sure you store it correctly and polish it regularly.
Silver oxidizes, i.e. discolors, when it comes into contact with sulphur. Sulphur is present in the air, on the skin, in cigarette smoke, perfumes, etc. In other words, it cannot be avoided. The more humid it is in the air, the faster silver oxidizes.
Tips for prolonging the shine
Store your silver jewellery in an airtight plastic bag (e.g. a mini-grip bag).
Do not store your jewellery in the bathroom, where it is often humid.
Always take off your jewellery when showering or bathing.
Take off your jewellery when playing sports.
Polish your jewellery with home polish.
Avoid chemical cleaning of pearls, as the strong silver polish can corrode the surface of the pearl. If you have to dip the pearl as well, just let it sit for a few seconds.
Keep in mind that chemical cleaning also removes the oxidation on the jewellery that is part of the design.
Housewife tips
If you want to be more environmentally friendly, you can use this old trick: line a container with aluminum foil, sprinkle some bicarbonate of soda or coarse salt, put the jewellery in and then pour boiling water. The trick of brushing with toothpaste also works but should be used only as an emergency solution as the abrasive in toothpaste can leave small scratches on your jewellery.
Handmade
For us at Guldviva, we see ourselves first and foremost as a goldsmith company. With the main focus on qualitative materials such as 925 sterling silver and 18K gold, we create unique jewelry under the brand GULDVIVA.
When we talk about handmade jewellery, we think of an authentic manufacturing process. Each piece of jewellery begins its journey on a goldsmith's bench, shaped directly from the precious metal. This metal can take the form of a flexible wire or a malleable sheet, which is then shaped by various techniques, from cold forging to filing. After shaping, the parts are joined together, sometimes by traditional soldering and sometimes by modern methods such as lasers.
In some cases, in order to replicate very unique parts, we first make an original by hand and then use the "lost wax casting" technique. We have our own casting facility but in some cases we work with local foundries. The casting process provides us with the necessary metal shapes for our production. Then, when we work at the bench, we combine efficient techniques with manual precision, such as filing, smithing and soldering, to ensure the completion of the jewellery. This combination allows us to focus our craftsmanship on the details where it really counts, which you as a customer will appreciate.
Then comes the extensive work of polishing the jewellery. One thing that sets jewellery apart is how well crafted and polished it is. The quality of a piece of jewellery can often be judged by its finish, which is why we spend a lot of time polishing our jewellery to perfection.
All our jewelry is handmade, but there are some components, such as the chains we use, that require specialized manufacturing and are therefore purchased.
One of the advantages of real gold and silver jewellery is that these metals are easily recyclable and can be recycled again and again, without any major processes.
Many people today say they use recycled gold and silver, and that's true. For our part, we buy all the metal we use from our own customers, so we can also proudly say that we use 100 percent recycled metal in our jewellery. Circular Economy is what many call it today, something that has been a matter of course for us for many years!
Gift wrapping
We've been selling jewellery and gifts for over 30 years, and one of the most important things we've learned is that it's the inside that counts and the outside that impresses. Our gift wrapping has therefore evolved with us, and we put a lot of emphasis and care into packaging your gift.
Jewellery from us always comes packaged in a jewellery box, and packaged together with a cellophane bag for storage. Depending on the jewellery, it may also come with a text about the origin and background of that particular model.
