Some ideas come rushing like slaps through the air and demand to become reality. Others need to lie like dried SEEDs deep within the consciousness, until one day they fall out and land somewhere, hopefully in a place where they can sprout and grow. Such as RÅG (Rye), a collection of handmade jewelry from Guldviva.

Guldviva's RÅG (Rye) collection was launched in time for the Harvest Festival 2019, but was born long ago. The idea originated in two classic literary works, Anni Blomqvist's STORMSKERRY MAJA and Vilhelm Moberg's The Emigrants.
– I didn't read the books at the same time, but they both struck me with the same insight into how incredibly important rye was for survival in the past.  As soon as you settled down and as soon as it got warm in the ground, the grain had to be sown. Without it, you wouldn't survive, says Maria Karlström, head goldsmith at Guldviva.

Rye has been grown in our country for thousands of years and is the hardiest of all our four grains. Resistant to cold and attack, nutritious and filling. The dried bread baked with Rye also did not go bad as quickly as other bread, but could be taken on long hunting trips and journeys.
