Humulus Lupulus is the Latin name for hops.

In the summer of 2010, divers discovered a 200-year-old shipwreck in the southern Åland archipelago. The cargo contained 168 bottles of champagne as well as five brown glass bottles filled with a foaming dark beer. This is the story behind the HOPS necklace, a beautifully antiqued silver “cone” depicting the female flowers of the hop plant.

Where does my jewellery come from?

Åland – a tranquil island in the Baltic Sea, between Finland and Sweden. Here, in the beautiful Maritime Quarter in the heart of Mariehamn, you’ll find both our store and our workshop.

Guldviva was born in Åland in 1989 and has always kept its production here. For us, it has been important to have full control over the entire process, where jewellery making and sales go hand in hand. This way, we can ensure the highest quality and offer personal service.
