Humulus Lupulus is the Latin name for Humle ( HOPS in English)
Under sommaren 2010 upptäcktes ett 200 år gammalt skeppsvrak av dykare i södra Ålands skärgård. I lasten fanns 168 flaskor champagne men också fem flaskor i brunt glas innehållande ett skummande mörkt öl.
This is the background to the HOPS necklace, a beautifully antiqued silver “cone” depicting the female flowers of the hop plant.

Where does my jewellery come from?
Åland – a tranquil island in the Baltic Sea, between Finland and Sweden. Here, in the beautiful Maritime Quarter in the heart of Mariehamn, you’ll find both our store and our workshop.
Guldviva was born in Åland in 1989 and has always kept its production here. For us, it has been important to have full control over the entire process, where jewellery making and sales go hand in hand. This way, we can ensure the highest quality and offer personal service. With us, you always know where your jewellery comes from – right here in Åland.
