“The City of a Thousand Lindens”, Mariehamn’s second name, is the seed of thought that grew into the TILIA FRÖ necklace.

"I have long wanted to design a piece of jewelry with a strong connection to Åland. The seeds that the linden releases in the fall look like a sail with a stem with seeds. To me, it is a bit like the Ålanders who often dare to set sail and throw themselves into the wind, often with good results."

All our jewellery is handmade by trained goldsmiths in our own workshop in Åland, Finland. Every piece is created from 100% recycled metal.

Where does my jewellery come from?

Åland – a tranquil island in the Baltic Sea, between Finland and Sweden. Here, in the beautiful Maritime Quarter in the heart of Mariehamn, you’ll find both our store and our workshop.

Guldviva was born in Åland in 1989 and has always kept its production here. For us, it has been important to have full control over the entire process, where jewellery making and sales go hand in hand. This way, we can ensure the highest quality and offer personal service. With us, you always know where your jewellery comes from – right here in Åland.
